Nearly 200 people took to the street in Berlin on Sunday to protest against the current German anti-COVID measures and vaccine mandates for certain professions.
Protesters started gathering in front of the Berlin Zoo and started marching with signs and banners with slogans such as, 'No to the vaccination apartheid' and 'Freedom of choice in vaccination.'
A high number of police officers guarded the protest. No arrests have been made, and no disturbances were recorded.

Commonly referred to as "The Muscle of the Met", it specialises in public order policing, amongst other specialist areas.[2] In 2012 it consisted of 793 officers and 29 support staff.[3] The TSG is a uniformed unit of the MPS that replaced the similarly constituted Special Patrol Group in 1987.[2] TSG units patrol the streets of London in marked police vans or "carriers"; using the call sign prefix "Uniform". Generally each carrier has an advanced (police) driver, seven constables and a sergeant. Territorial Support Groups often comprise three carriers, twenty one constables, and three sergeants reporting to an Inspector. They separately patrol designated areas experiencing serious levels of gang violence or disorder. When deployed, it is by the MPS Information Room. Due to the public order nature of their role often numerous carriers will be assigned. TSG officers can be identified as TSG from the distinctive "U" in their shoulder numbers. Some TSG officers are also plain clothes officers, carrying a taser and handcuffs.

(18 Dec 2021) Protesters in Barcelona were among those taking to the streets on Saturday amid similar rallies across Europe as nations were moving to impose tougher measures to stem a new wave of COVID-19 infections spurred by the highly transmissible omicron variant.
Thousands of demonstrators marched in the Spanish city against the recent introduction of coronavirus passports to access public spaces in the Catalan region.
The protest was taking place for the third week in a row, with organizers saying they will continue as long as current restrictions remain in place.
Omicron is expected to be the dominant coronavirus variant in the European Union's 27 nations by mid-January, the bloc's top official said Wednesday amid concerns that a dramatic rise in infections will leave Europe shrouded in gloom during the holiday season.
The World Health Organization reported Saturday that the omicron variant of the coronavirus has been detected in 89 countries, and COVID-19 cases involving the variant are doubling every 1.5 to 3 days in places with community transmission and not just infections acquired abroad.
Major questions about omicron remain unanswered, including how effective existing COVID-19 vaccines are against it and whether the variant produces severe illness in many infected individuals, WHO noted.

Anti-vaccine protesters clashed with police in Munich on Wednesday, after the country’s top ethics council narrowly approved a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for adults over age 18.
The demonstration comes as Europe deals with a surge in COVID-19 cases driven by the Omicron variant.
Police estimate approximately 5,000 people showed up at the protest. Eleven people were arrested, they said.
Health officials expect Omicron will be the dominant variant in the country by mid-January.

The UK lifted its own lockdown restrictions earlier on July 19, but Health Secretary Sajid Javid today warned there are 'no guarantees' Christmas Day will go ahead without a lockdown as Boris Johnson desperately fends off alarming warnings from scientists. Omicron is rapidly spreading across Europe already, though, and restrictions are being rolled out across the continent in a desperate bid to save Christmas. The measures taken by each country have differed, with Covid passes deemed particularly divisive. The certificates have become mandatory across some parts of Europe, while proposals to do the same elsewhere have been met with vociferous public opposition.

Auch heute zog es wieder Hunderte aus verschiedenen Gründen in die Kleinstadt Löbau.
Etwa um 18:00, nach dem letzten Glockenschlag, ertönte ein noch ausbaufähiges "Die Gedanken sind frei...". Nach dem Gesang liefen die Menschen durch die Innenstadt.
Die Zahl dieser Menschen hat sich im Vergleich zur Vorwoche etwa verdoppelt.
Alles war friedlich, wie immer.
Die Polizei bleibt besonnen und regelt den Verkehr.
